James Campbell holds a degree in Mining & Exploration Geology from the Royal School of Mines (Imperial College, London University) and an MBA with distinction from Durham University. James worked at De Beers for over twenty years in a number of technical and leadership roles. Subsequently he was Managing Director of African Diamonds plc ("AFD"), listed on London AIM and the Botswana Stock Exchange, for a period of four years until its acquisition by Lucara in December 2010.
